Very Melanated was born from a moment of quiet recognition — watching a melanated woman provide daily meals to unhoused neighbors, out of purpose. It sparked a deep truth: That's who we are! That's who we've ALWAYS been! We have always created, built, and healed — often in silence and unseen. However, often felt.

And that remembering became a mission.

Very Melanated transforms apparel into remembrance technology, while storytelling in healing frequency style. Every design created is a call to Remember Who You Are, rooted in what we call Celf Love — a conscious, intentional love of self that is deeply rooted in radical self-acceptance, ancestral pride and creative expression that meets the cells.

We understand that looking in the mirror — really seeing yourself — may be uncomfortable. And it is also revolutionary. Very Melanated was created to hold space for that journey. To reflect the wisdom, beauty, natural intelligence and the truth of melanated people. The global majority.
